Welcome!
As a Catholic Christian faith community committed to the teachings of Jesus and intent on imitating his love for all people, these are our core values:
- We value active participation in the Eucharist. The celebration of the Eucharist is the "source and summit" of our Christian life, and all are welcome to join us at 6 p.m. every Sunday.
- We value all life and have particular concern for the poor, vulnerable and disenfranchised. We support ministries and services to the sick and the grieving, to the needy and those living with HIV-AIDS.
- We value good stewardship of our time, talent and treasure. God has blessed us in many ways, and our members are encouraged to show their gratitude to God for those blessings by sharing part of what God has given to them.
- We value a worshiping community that is open and welcome to all. We are a diverse community of faith and we welcome all to worship with us and to journey in faith with us.
- We value creating and caring for a sacred space that enhances our connection to God and to one another. The Congregational Life Center Chapel of the Cathedral of Hope has been our hallowed ground since 2006. We are grateful to our host congregation, and plan for a bright future in the Interfaith Peace Chapel.
- We value ourselves, and see each other as a powerful beacon of hope for a Church in transition. For more than 35 years, we have given witness to the wholeness and holiness of our lives.
If these core values strike a chord with you, we invite you to join us as we journey in faith, hope and love. BECOME A MEMBER today!

FR. PAT JOHNSON: REST IN PEACE
We're saddened to learn of the death of Father Pat Johnson, a longtime friend of Dignity/Dallas who ministered to us over the course of several years. After a distinguished career as a chaplain at DFW Airport, Pat received a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease. He and his wife Evelyn moved to California about two years ago to stay with family. He had recently been admitted to a long-term care facility, where he died peacefully on Jan. 17. Please pray for the repose of Pat's soul, and ask God to comfort Evelyn and their family.

Sunday • Confession (upon request) - 5:30 PM to 5:45 PM • Mass - 6:00 PM LATEST NEWS Lest anyone forget who's in charge, in an address to English and Welsh bishops, Pope Benedict said "In a social milieu that encourages the expression of a variety of opinions on every question that arises, it is important to recognize dissent for what it is, and not to mistake it for a mature contribution to a balanced and wide-ranging debate. It is the truth revealed through Scripture and Tradition and articulated by the Church's Magisterium that sets us free."
SUNDAY'S READINGS CHURCH CHAT For the week of Jan. 31
Blase is best known as the patron saint of those with ailments of the throat. This fourth-century bishop of Sebaste in Armenia gained this honor because he is said to have cured a boy who was brought to him with a fish bone stuck in his throat. On his feast day, Feb. 3, the Church honors St. Blase by blessing throats.
The power of prayer and faith in healing the body is greatly underestimated. Today, pray for an increase of faith in the power of your prayers.
Mardi Gras/Valentine's Day Potluck The chapter will host a potluck after Mass on Feb. 14. All are invited to stay and celebrate Mardi Gras and Valentine's Day.
Board Meeting The Board will meet at 4 p.m. on Feb. 21 in Room 129. All are welcome to attend and participate in the meeting.
